Death Proof...2007 film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film centers around a psychopathic stunt
man who stalks young women before murdering them in staged car accidents using his “death-proof” stunt car. The
film is a tribute to muscle cars, exploitation, and slasher film genres of the 1970s. The film stars Kurt Russell, Zoë Bell,
Rosario Dawson, Vanessa Ferlito, Jordan Ladd, Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Tracie Thoms, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and
Rose McGowan.
Days of Thunder 1990, revolved around a talented, hot-shot auto racing rookie, (#46 and 51) Cole Trickle (Cruise),
who, after trying his hand in the American open wheel ranks, seeks to win on the NASCAR circuit. His mechanic
mentor, Harry Hogge (Duvall), acts as his crew chief. He also develops a romantic relationship with Dr. Claire Lewicki
(Nicole Kidman), a young brain surgeon who tries to tame him. Lo and behold, just when he thought it was safe and
easy to get back into a race car and drive, an arrogant and dangerous newcomer by the name of Russ Wheeler (Cary
Elwes) doesn't make it easy on him, picking on him because he knows he can get away with it. 1990
Driven...2001 movie starring Sylvester Stallone. Rookie driver Jimmy Bly (Kip Pardue) is tearing up this year's circuit,
already winning 5 races. His brother/business manager Demille (Robert Sean Leonard) is right there with him working
out endorsement deals and making sure the press come first, putting tremendous pressure upon Jimmy. Jimmy's
winning is also angering former champion Beau Brandenburg (Til Schweiger) who decides he's not doing very well this
year because of his fiancee Sophia (Estella Warren). He breaks up the engagement and she returns his ring, and he
immediately starts winning again.
American Graffiti... 1973 coming of age comedy-drama film co-written/directed by George Lucas, and starring Richard
Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Paul Le Mat, Charles Martin Smith, Cindy Williams, Candy Clark, Mackenzie Phillips and
Harrison Ford. Set in 1962 Modesto, California, American Graffiti is a study of the cruising and rock and roll cultures
popularized amongst the Post-World War II baby boom generation. The film is a nostalgic portrait of teenage life in the
Death Race 2000...1975   starring David Carradine, Simone Griffeth and Sylvester Stallone. The movie takes place in a
dystopian American society in the year 2000, where the murderous Transcontinental Road Race has become a form of
national entertainment.  
Christine...1983 horror film about a supernaturally malevolent automobile and its effects on the teenager who owns it,
adapted from a novel written by Stephen King. The film was directed by John Carpenter, and set in 1978.
Corvette Summer...1978 starring Mark Hamill and Annie Potts. It tells the story of a lonely, car-obsessed California
teenager and the theft of his beloved customized Corvette Stingray.
California Kid...1974 TV Movie starring Martin Sheen, Vic Morrow, Nick Nolte, Michelle Phillips, Gary Morgan, and
Janit Baldwin. The story takes place in 1958, and involves a town, Clarksburg, California, with a famous speed trap, in
which a disturbed Sheriff Roy Childress (Vic Morrow), whose wife and daughter were killed by a speeder, turns bad,
with a habit of deliberately punishing speeders by pushing their cars off the mountain highway in his 1957 Plymouth
Belvedere.
Cannonball...1976 film starring David Carradine.The Trans-America Grand Prix is an illegal race held every year
Cannonball Buckman, trying to restart his automobile racing career by entering the race. Buckman is still on parole and
if he is caught in the illegal race he will go back to prison; his best friend also enters the race with an identical car and
an identical paint job to try and run cover for Buckman.
The Canonball Run...1981 film comedy starring Burt Reynolds, Roger Moore, Dom DeLuise and Farrah Fawcett, and
actual cross-country outlaw road race from the Red Ball Garage in New York City (later Darien, CT) to the pier at
Redondo Beach, California, just south of Los Angeles, organized by automotive journalist and the movie's screenwriter
Brock Yates. Some of the more interesting aspects based on real life include the "ambulance" entry and the "all female
entry."

The film was directed by John Hough. The music score contains no incidental music, apart from the theme song over the
opening and closing titles, and a small amount of music heard over the radio. The story deals with two would-be
NASCAR hopefuls; the driver, Larry (Peter Fonda), and his mechanic, Deke (Adam Roarke), who successfully execute a
supermarket heist to finance their jump into the big-time auto racing world, extorting $150,000 in cash from the
supermarket manager by holding his wife and daughter hostage.
Against All Odds is a neo-noir 1984 film, a remake of Out of the Past. The movie was directed by Taylor Hackford
and features Rachel Ward in a variation (with a different name) of Jane Greer’s original role, Jeff Bridges filling in for
Robert Mitchum, and James Woods in a version of Kirk Douglas’s part. Supporting players include Alex Karras, Jane
Greer (portraying the mother of her original character), Richard Widmark, and Dorian Harewood.

The Blonde Comet 1941. Beverly Blake, the 'Blonde Comet," and the daughter of a tire-manufacturer, gets behind the
wheel of a race-car, and is soon tearing up the tracks and winning races in Italy, France and Germany (obviously prior to
1938 when those countries were no longer running international car races in Europe.) She comes back to race on
American tracks. She meets Jim Flynn, another race-driver, and a rivalry is created, along with a romance. Beverly gives
up her chance to win THE BIG RACE by letting Jim race her car and he wins. His win also means a triumph for the
racing-car carburetor he has invented and also for the tires manufactured by her father.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang  1968. Dick Van Dyke plays Caractacus Potts, a failed inventor and has two kids. He raises
money to buy an old broken down racing car and transforms it into a shiny new car. While on a picnic they concoct a
fantasy about the magical powers of the car which can fly and float. Baron Bomburst wants the car and steals it and Potts.
The children have to rescue everyone.

but a madman known as "the pop bottle bomber". The chase around the car wash with the pop bottle and the scene with

Car Pool 1996.Workaholic advertising executive, Daniel Miller, has an important business meeting, but finds himself

carnival owner robs the bank and takes Daniel and the kids hostage as his truck is blocked by an armored car. A comedic
car chase ensues through Seattle. Daniel discovers his kids and their friends do not really respect him and they react
better to Franklin.
